Today’s amazingly advanced hearing aids may be small, but each instrument packs an incredible amount of technology into its tiny casing. More and more insurance companies now offer coverage for hearing loss treatment; however, many patients are still financially responsible for part or most of their hearing aid purchase.
Johnson Audiology is in-network with Traditional Medicare (Part B) only. Medicare will cover a hearing evaluation when medically necessary, but they do not cover hearing aids.
Johnson Audiology is out-of-network with all other insurance companies, including Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C). If you have audiology benefits through an insurance company other than Traditional Medicare, and you would like to be seen at Johnson Audiology, call the number on the back of your insurance card and inquire about out-of-network benefits. If you have out-of-network benefits, you would pay out-of-pocket for services, and then would apply for reimbursement through your insurance. Unfortunately, we cannot send claims or claim forms on behalf of patients.
Medicare
Medicare will cover the hearing evaluation as long as there’s a medical referral from a primary care provider to Johnson Audiology. Your doctor can fax a referral to us at (603) 836-9897. Medicare does not cover hearing aids or hearing aid services.
If you have questions, please call us at (603) 643-4327.
